NAME: PILAR I JOAN MIRÓ FOUNDATION

 

It is located at 29 Saridakis,Palma. Permanent collection and temporary exhibitions. It was the Studio of the Catalan artist from 1956 until 1983. The Foundation comprises three unique great buildings : Son Boter, the Moneo Building and the Sert Studio. The first two were included in the BIC architectural heritage list. Education Program and courses in etching & lithography are available.Visitors can contemplate the artist’s creative surroundings.Miró and his wife donated the studios to the Palma City Council.Miró wanted the Foundation to be a channel to encourage youthPilar Juncosa and Sotheby’s Awards and Grants, are given every year. Works by Miró  include paintings, drawings, and prints.Temporary exhibitions. There is ample parking space and coffee service

Opening times : Tuesday to Saturday 10.00 – 19.00

Sunday and Holidays10.00 – 15.00(Monday closed)

Miró had close ties to Mallorca throughout his entire life

In 1954, Miró decided to leave Barcelona and settle in Mallorca.
