NAME: FRAY JUNÍPERO SERRA HOUSE MUSEUM

Fray Junipero Serra was a Majorcan Franciscan religious who was ordained in 1738 and having been doctorate in theology decided to embark on missions in the Americas. He is credited with the creation of mission communities of San Francisco in California.

His birthplace is at the street Barracar Alt in the village of Petra, where it is established the museum of this theologian. Besides visiting the house and discover how Majorcans lived in the eighteenth century, we can see many works of the Father Serra, the name by which he was known in his village.

You can also enjoy the array of paintings, prints, medals, sculptures, reliefs, engravings and photographs relating to the work sites of the blessed.
