NAME: DIOCESAN MUSEUM OF MAJORCA

The Diocesan Museum of Majorca was inaugurated in 1916 within the Episcopal Palace, just behind the head of the Cathedral.

This museum offers visitors exceptional views of the harbor and the bay of Palma and inside you can see more than two hundred religious works that give us a clear vision of what has been the history of Christianity on the island of Majorca.

The visit is organized chronologically and among the major works we can mention the altarpiece of Sant Jordi (XV century) by Pere NiCard with images of the City of Majorca and several pieces of furniture designed by Antoni Gaudí to decorate the Cathedral and the Episcopal Palace. Do not miss the dissected dragon of na Coca, home to one of the most famous legends of Palma.
