NAME: POLLENTIA MONOGRAPHIC MUSEUM

The Pollentia Monographic Museum is located on the street Sant Jaume 30 in the municipality of Alcudia. It was built during the fourteenth century to use as a hospital. Since 1987, it homes to most of the objects found in excavations at the Roman site near Pollentia.

With this historical collection and panels, we will learn a little about customs and daily life of this important Roman city founded by Cecilio Meteleo in 123 BC and in which highlights its theater for two thousand people, temples, cemeteries or the type of decoration of houses, filled with mosaics and paintings.

Very close to the museum is the Roman city, which can be visited within the same timetable the museum.

Admission: EUR 2 ( includes a visit to the remains of the Roman city).

Hours: Tuesday to Friday from 10.00 to 16.00 hours. Saturdays and Sundays from 10.00 to 13.00 hours. Closed Mondays and holidays.
