Canyamel Tower is a defense tower located on the coast of the municipality of Capdepera. It was built in the middle of the twelfth century by the family Montsó. Its purpose was to defend the Majorcans of pirate invasions. This tower has more than seven hundred years of history and became, over time, in Estate devoted to works related to the countryside.

It is 23 meters high and square. It reflects a stunning Gothic architecture, being a unique building in Majorca and now houses a permanent exhibition on the history of the island.

Inside we can see a collection of ethnological objects of great value as folk pottery, weapons, furniture and carpets war of the nineteenth century. From the top floor visitors have a great view of Canyamel Bay and the villages of Capdepera, Arta and Son Servera. Nearby there are restaurants and cafes, and a paradise cove:  Canyamel Creek.

Opening times: Tuesday to Saturday from 10.00 to 15.00 and from 17.00 to 20.00 h. Sundays from 10.00 to 15.00 h. Closed on Mondays.
